Better Late Than Never!

As we come to the home stretch of the semester and double down on our final projects for #NetNarr, we were assigned with looking at possible ideas through viewing a number of video in the #NetNarr library. As there were many great choices, I decided to go with A Model Employee. What drew me to his video was my post last week about the issues I am currently facing with my own employers as we are going thru current unfortunate times. With that said, I am glad that I did choose to view this video!

The main theme that came into play for me in this film was “perfection”; perfection in the work place (obviously), perfection in everyday choice, perfection in lifestyle! The main cheracter struggles with the balance of life as a waitress (day job), aspiring dj (night gig), and ideal daughter (home life). Things take a turn for the worst when she given a watch to judge her and her actions. The even most surprising turn happens when someone gets arrested… and it is NOT the main character…

A Model Employee makes you think that you job is definitely out to get you! What is even more scary is that my job has something similar to this.. and offers some of those same benefits that were thrown at the main character (except the bonus… my job is too cheap for that). This short film was a great source of inspiration.
